Let’s start with the question I get often: how do you say it?
It’s “now.” Nau is my last name, and it’s pronounced exactly like the word. Since marrying into the name, that was just a fun fact for name tags. Then one conversation turned it into something much bigger.
Years ago, my husband and I were at the store when a stranger in a wheelchair rode straight up to us and abruptly gave us advice I’ve never forgotten. Start traveling now, she told us, before it’s too late.
She wasn’t being dramatic. She was being honest. She shared that she’d waited for the “right time,” and learned that the right time was now.
We revisited that conversation several times, and is part of the reason we started traveling. We haven’t stopped since. Today, my husband and I share a goal of visiting as many countries as we possibly can.
So when it came time to name this business, there was really only one choice in that moment. Nau is my name, and it’s also the whole point: the best time to travel is now. Not someday, not when the timing is perfect.
What about the ‘& Again’? That’s the part nobody warns you about. Once you take that first trip, you’ll want to go again. And again. Travel has a way of turning “maybe someday” into “where are we going next?” I’d love to help you plan both: the first trip, and every one after it.
That stranger never knew her advice would become a business. But every trip I plan carries a little bit of her message with it.
The best time to travel is Nau.
